Connor studied at the MIT Media Laboratory in the Context-Aware-Computing group. Prior to this Connor studied Computer Science and Film at Queen's University in Canada and was a researcher in the Human Media Laboratory for four years where he developed many novel media technologies. Connor also spent 2 years producing a television show as well as acting as an executive in production of shorts for broadcast on CBC national television and web. Many of Connor's previous scientific and artistic endeavors have received international attention in galleries, museums, exhibitions, newspapers, magazines, peer-reviewed journals, web and television.

Jeff has more than 8 years of experience in technology as an innovator, educator and practitioner. He first collaborated with Connor at the Human Media Lab in 2001 where they developed systems that recognize human eye-gaze and speech to respond in a sociable manner. Jeff has published over 15 peer reviewed articles and has 2 patents pending. Most recently, he was the Senior Analyst for a major management consulting firm where he led projects in supply chain, finance, strategy and manufacturing.
